Support for the Community
Our Support for the Community strategy, which includes national and local participation initiatives and financial contributions, is intended to help specific local communities where we have offices, but also to make a broader contribution to social issues facing our world.
In addition many local offices have their own programmes, and all offices have an annual community budget.
Below are two examples of the types of community support ATC is involved with.
Johan Cruyff Foundation
The Cruyff Foundation, an international foundation, supports projects and organisations which endeavour to advance the mental and physical welfare of children through physical exercise, sports and play, often in combination with education. The Foundation is particularly interested in projects and organisations which represent the needs of the physically and mentally handicapped. ATC makes an annual financial donation to the Foundation, and participates in fundraising activities during the year.

Net4Kids
ATC Amsterdam’s supports the Loreto Bowbazar project on an ongoing basis; our involvement began as a “replacement” for staff Christmas presents”.
This project is part of the charity Net4Kids, which was founded by Loek van den Boog. Loek was recently named Philantropist of the Year 2008 by the leading magazine FM in the Netherlands (beating, among others, Johan Cruyff, whose charity is referred to above).
The Loreto Bowbazar project is one of three “rainbow homes” which Net4Kids supports in Calcutta, a city with more than 100,000 homeless children. Most at risk are girls, who often face abuse and violence on a daily basis. The project works by providing shelter and accommodation for as many girls as possible within a private school. The project’s objective is to provide these girls with the education and self-respect they need to create and sustain an independent life when they leave the school.
Our annual donation pays the costs (education, food, medical care, clothing, teaching materials and social activities) for 40 girls at Loreto Bowbazar.
